BUCS Fencing Championships Showcase Elite Student Sport at Canon Medical Arena

Canon Medical Arena was proud to host the BUCS Nationals Fencing Individual Championships 2023-24 from 23rd February 2024, welcoming some of the country’s top university athletes for a weekend of high-level competition.

Across three days of action, student fencers from universities nationwide competed in Epee, Foil, and Sabre disciplines, delivering a showcase of skill, precision, and intensity. From early morning registrations to the final bouts, the Arena was filled with focus, energy, and competitive spirit.

The event featured a full schedule of individual championships, including Men’s and Women’s competitions across all three weapons, with athletes battling it out for national honours as part of the prestigious BUCS Nationals programme.

The dynamic layout of Canon Medical Arena provided the perfect environment for fencing, offering both athletes and spectators a professional and engaging setting. The weekend highlighted the venue’s ability to seamlessly host multi-day sporting events, accommodating a large number of competitors, officials, and supporters.
