As a General Assistant, you will work closely with the duty manager to ensure the smooth operation of the day-to-day program at the Arena. This role requires strong teamwork and communication skills to deliver top-notch service while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the duty manager with daily operations.
Work in the café, ensuring adherence to food hygiene standards.
Follow Health & Safety Laws, Procedures, and Policies.
Set up and take down for major events.
Operate the EPOS system.
Support Sharks and Hatters fixtures.
Perform some heavy lifting as required.
Report maintenance issues to the management team.
Complete daily, weekly, and relevant checks for the Arena.

Over 18 years old (preferable due to some overnight set-ups/downs).

Qualifications and Knowledge:

(Desirable) First Aid at Work certification.

A Typical Day

A typical day as a General Assistant includes preparing and serving food in the café, maintaining venue cleanliness, setting up for various sports/events, and greeting visitors at the reception. Tasks can vary greatly depending on the events scheduled.
